A long soak in a bath filled with salts and nebulous foam. Relaxing “me-time” under a warm, steamy shower.

Bathrooms are all about tranquility and pampering–allowing you to get away from the hectic everyday buzz.

This blog post explores my two favourite bathroom interior trends and demonstrates innovative ways to create a serene and sumptuous aesthetic to suit your relaxation needs.

Balinese Bliss

One of my favourite places to visit is Bali. The country is full of natural beauty, lined by exotic beaches and coral reefs with mountains at its centre. Bali is known for its strong health and wellbeing culture, offering an abundant range of luxurious spas–indoor and out–and secluded retreats.

This trend incorporates aspects of spa and relaxation with the beauty of the outdoors. Think pebbles and stones, wood, waterfalls and tropical plants.

Omani Opulence

In December 2015, I went on the trip of a lifetime to Oman. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the country, most notably the majestic Sultan Qaboos Mosque and the decadent interiors at the Chedi. Polished marble, ornate arches, gold lanterns, stained glass, and geometric tiles are just a few of the highlights.
